Action star Marko Zaror is currently in India putting work in with fight choreographer Larnell Stovall in director Ali Abbas Zafar’s newest, Sultan with Salman Khan starring. In the meantime, I can’t say enough how awesome it is to see Zaror landing a superhero role based on a Latin property with manifestation of comic book creator Nicolas Rodriguez’s Zambo Dende.
Riccardo Gabrielli R directs the Kiltro and Redeemer star in the title role which sets our hero off on a journey from childhood with an anomalous past to a destiny that forsees him as a legendary hero to the oppressed slaves of 16th century Latin America. Production of a shortfilm intially took place in Bogota, Colombia in late 2014 and the prospects have finally landed the project a full series which is now in development. In the meantime, that very shortfilm now bears a first trailer for fans to sample the proof of concept with Zaror in full costume with Stovall’s choreography on hand, and a cast that includes some of the best in stunt and action talents, namely the late, great Darren Shahlavi next to Michelle Lee, Tait Fletcher and Esteban Cueto.
You can take a look below as well as a slew of character posters just beneath.
